Common Issues and Solutions for Wire Rope Cleaning and Lubrication Systems

I. No Lubricant on Wire Rope After Equipment Startup

  • Check if there is lubricating grease in the system
  • Check if the flow control valve is fully open
  • Check if compressed air is connected and operational
  • Check if the lubricating grease delivery pipeline is connected to the lubricator
  • Is the ambient temperature too low?

II. Lubricating Grease Does Not Flow

  • Lubricating grease flow control valve not open
  • Is compressed air connected to the pneumatic pump?
  • Air valve not open
  • Check for foreign objects blocking the suction pipe
  • Is the lubricating grease viscosity appropriate?
  • If the ambient temperature is 0°C or below, turn on the lubricating oil heating device (local supply)
  • Replace with a lower-viscosity lubricating grease when the ambient temperature is below 0°C
  • Increase air pressure to increase lubricating oil flow until the correct amount of lubrication is applied to the wire rope
  • Reduce wire rope speed to ensure complete coverage of the wire rope surface with grease

III. Excessive Lubrication on Wire Rope

  • Is the surface of the wire rope not cleaned properly?
  • Reduce wire rope load, increase air pressure, reduce wire rope operating speed, and ensure flow rate
  • Control valve fully open

IV. Pneumatic Pump Not Working Properly

  • Check if compressed air supply is normal
  • Check if the suction pipe is blocked
  • Check if the flow control valve is open
