- Ensure the work area is clean and safe, and there is sufficient space around the wire rope connection points to install the VMAXX® wire rope lubricator before mounting it on the cable
- Ensure the cables, D-shaped shackles and connection points used to anchor the lubricator are rated at a minimum of 0.5 tons
- Inspect hydraulic hoses, fittings, air lines and connectors for damage or wear before connecting to the pneumatic pump and wire rope lubricator. Visually inspect the body to ensure it is not damaged during transportation or handling - any housing damage that prevents proper sealing will seriously reduce the device's ability to force grease into the rope core
- Always ensure the oil return line delivers to a properly sized container to receive excess grease from the lubricator. Allow grease to flow from the return line without polluting the environment
- Ensure the wire rope winch controls are locked out and tagged before connecting the lubricator to the wire rope
- The lubrication system can only be started after the lubricator is assembled, connected to the wire rope and secured in place
- During operation, the air pressure can reach up to 10bar and the grease pressure up to 50Mpa
